We are so glad you have chosen Drs. Hamilton & Roddy for your healthcare needs! As a new patient, please explore this section to learn what you can expect during your first visit. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. In general, you should plan to be in our office for an hour for your initial appointment.  If you need to change your appointment, please call us at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled time.

Chiropractic Visit

When a patient comes in for their first visit of chiropractic care, Dr. Roddy will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well.

Depending on your specific condition, X-rays may be deemed necessary to develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves. Once all information is collected and exams are performed, Dr. Roddy will give you a detailed report of all findings and a recommended treatment plan, including frequency of visits.

Neurofeedback

If you elect to proceed with neurofeedback therapy, you will be scheduled for a QEEG brain mapping session. You should expect this process to take about an hour. The brain map is the guide Dr. Hamilton and her technicians will use to ensure the affected brainwaves are being trained properly. Prior to starting the training you will meet with Dr. Hamilton to review your brain map and discuss the recommended number of sessions and treatment packages available.

Wellness Program

Dr. Roddy will suggest a wellness program to incorporate outside of treatment. This program will be tailored to the treatment you are receiving.  If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches.  Our wellness team will work with you to create healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle.  Every person is unique, therefore everyone requires a customized wellness plan.  The purpose of our wellness program is for you to achieve good spinal alignment, have a healthy diet, exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.

Forms and Insurance

Insurance

We accept BCBS and Medicare for chiropractic care. If you do not know if your insurance plan includes chiropractic care, contact your insurance company to verify your benefits. Please be aware that payment is due at the time of service. Through BCBS, if we receive payments, it goes on your case as a credit to use on your next visit. Through Medicare, when deductibles have been met, any payment will go direct to the patient. Please be aware that Medicare patients are not exempt from payment being due at the time of service.

At this time we do not file insurance for neurofeedback therapy. Contact your insurance provider to determine what, if any, benefits are available for this therapy.

We offer several payment plan options and will work with you to determine the best payment option for your budget.

Before your first appointment, please download the appropriate forms and bring them with you or fax them to our office in advance. This information will be kept in a confidential file which will serve as our record of your care.  These forms are in PDF format and you will need Adobe Reader to open these files.
